Event: Foam Rolling Workshop

Time: Session 1 – 6 – 7pm, Session 2 – 7.30 – 8.30pm
Location: Courtside Fitness Studio, Bletchley College
The Treatment Lab and Clean Coach Katie are hosting 2 workshops focusing on how to correctly use a Foam Roller and the best stretches runners should complete as part of their training routine.
This workshop is ideal for runners who would like to know how to use a foam roller and what stretches to complete during their weekly programme especially as we enter the Spring Marathon season.
There will be 2 sessions on the same evening and a maximum of 20 attendees per workshop.
Foam Rollers will not be provided so please bring your own, if you would like to purchase one for the evening there will be the option of buying one for £16 and this will be available for you on the night.

Event: Endurance Running Workshop

Location: Medbourne Sports Pavilion, Milton Keynes
An endurance running workshop for anyone who wants to run a half or full marathon in Spring 2019 and would like advice on:
Training Plans & Strength Training with Clean Coach Katie
Gait Analysis, Trainers, Kit with Up & Running
Rest, Recovery & Injury Prevention with The Treatment Lab
The evening will offer the opportunity for anyone who is taking on their first endurance event or for those wanting additional advice on how to progress their performance over distance.
There will be special guests and brands also in attendance to offer you the best advice, guidance and support to ensure you reach that start line on race day as ready as possible.
Up & Running will also be hosting a ‘Nutrition Station’ to talk about fuelling for training and samples for you to try.

Event: Injury Prevention Workshop
Date: Thursday 7th June 2018
Time: 6.30pm – 8.30pm
Location: Giffard Park Primary School, Broadway Avenue, MK14 5PY
Clean Coach Katie and The Treatment Lab are teaming up again to bring you a practical workshop surrounding how to become a stronger runner and how to reduce injury.
The workshop will comprise of 2 x 45 minute sessions with both CCK and The Treatment Lab. There will be a Q&A session at the end to ask any other questions you may have.
BECOMING A STRONGER RUNNER

Katie will discuss how to become a stronger runner through:
Speed Work
Strength and Core Conditioning
There will also be a practical element to this part for you to take away exercises to complete and session ideas to help you become stronger and faster.
INJURY PREVENTION
by The Treatment Lab
Rudi is the lead sports rehabilitator at the Treatment Lab and will go through various techniques to prevent injury including; warm ups, stretching, foam rolling and exercises to focus on the glutes, achilles and patella tendons.
